He hears the whole set.

Takes in every card.

Lines up every angle.

Shoot. Rest. Deliver.

Dave turns a night of multicam DJ-set footage into a synced, cut, ready-to-edit timeline.

No more dragging clips by hand.

No card folders to dig through after the show. Plug in the cards and Dave does the copying, the checking and the filing.

  • Plug in a card. Dave starts on his own.
  • Add more readers. Every card copies at once.
  • Done means verified. Swap the card and keep going.
  • Dave files every clip in its folder and pulls the stills out of mixed cards. Rename the folders later.
  • Already copied somewhere? Link the folder. Nothing moves.

Every angle on the same beat.

Dave hears the music inside every clip and puts it exactly where it happened. A whole night, every camera, nothing to set up.

  • Dave finds the same music in every clip, phone or cinema camera.
  • Each clip lands where it happened, to the frame.
  • Not sure about one? He flags it. He never guesses.
  • Recorders drift over a long night. Dave keeps them locked.
Listening to 95 clips and the DJ feed

Dave hears the room.

He compares the DJ feed with every mic and hears what the room did to the music. Then he works out the space, shapes each mic to fit it and matches the levels by loudness.

Dave's read of the room. Not right? Pick it yourself.

Every track named. Every drop found.

Dave fingerprints the set against your own music, on your Mac, and hands Premiere a marker for every track and every drop.

    • Import an album folder, even straight off the DJ's stick. Dave keeps his own copy.
    • Dave listens to the whole set and names every track, pitched up or down.
    • Every drop lands on the beat grid. Press play and you are on it.
    • In Premiere every track is a marker on its drop, and every other drop has one too.

Cuts that land on the drop.

Dave cuts between your angles on the beat and follows the energy of the set. Set the rhythm for each moment, then send it to Premiere.

“I shoot DJ sets with 7+ cameras. I built Dave because the post was eating my nights. Now the boring part is done before I open Premiere.”
